My Campaign Trail

So far in my campaign I have been on a whirlwind tour of the great Brighton (see video above), attracting votes from the general public, giving out “vote Lee!” stickers and sweets. I had a great day in Brighton, talking to people of all ages about my campaign. Of course my friends and family have been very supportive. They have all voted and in turn told everyone they know to vote. It’s like a big viral message to “vote Lee” has hit Facebook. It’s crazy! I have had various shout outs on radio shows; my workplace is a haven of vote Lee posters. I have even been out and about dropping leaflets through peoples doors. I have many more ideas up my sleeve, don’t worry! Videos and pictures will be uploaded shortly….I want to say at this stage, a big thank you to everyone who has voted. Those not yet to cast their votes, well, VOTE LEE! It’s the only way!!

My manifesto

Becoming your up to the minute, expert holiday reviewer I will make sure you are informed of all those insider holiday tips. Not only will I be on hand to provide you with the latest and the greatest knowledge of various destinations around the globe, I will also provide you, the public, with information you just can’t get from your local travel agent. If you want someone who is fun, upbeat and ready to take on a challenge or 4, then I’m your guy! I will be on hand, whether you want me to review the latest and greatest attractions, or want me go out onto the beaten track for a bit of local knowledge. If its food you’re after then look no further! I will try anything from Pomegranate to Piranha (just let me remove the teeth first!). We can all look at a holiday brochure, after all they contain all the basic information you need for your holiday. Well I say, WE NEED MORE! Why trawl through the internet trying to find the latest bar, the greatest show or even the local shop opening times? With me, Lee Blake as your lowcostholidays.com reviewer, I will make it easy, entertaining and informative for you to find out a little bit more about the destinations I visit. Who knows, you might like it so much, you'll visit yourself! Competition Finalists

• Christina Leon Christina is a 24 year old from the West coast of Scotland. In her free time she goes social networking mad! She loves learning languages and is currently learning Japanese. She enjoys modelling, singing and dancing, performing on stage but most importantly she loves holidays!
• Sue Mellor Sue describes herself as a Yorkshire lass turned Essex Girl with a unique personality. She has a keen sense of adventure which has put her into some interesting situations over the years. Only cunning, quick wit and perseverance has got her through. It would be a dream come true for Sue to be a travel reviewer for lowcostholidays.com.
• Danny Steele Being a middle child of 1970's, Kent didn't give Danny obvious grounding in presenting programmes, however it was his role of one of the Shepherds at a Nativity play that gave him his first taste of the performing bug. Fast forward a few years and he is now living in London and is a presenter and stand up comedian.
• Lee Blake Lee Blake comes from a leisure and tourism background, having worked in places such as Chessington World of Adventures, Madame Tussauds and even lived and worked in Gran Canaria for a year. He currently works full time in a call centre in Surrey and wants to get out and top up his tan!
• Duncan Nagle Duncan was an average child, exhibiting few skills other than “being really good at Street Fighter 2”, and left school with A-Levels in French, Latin and Classical Civilization. Neither gaming nor knowledge of dead people helped Duncan in his early retail career. Duncan now lives in the Wild West Midlands with his wife and three cats.
• Steve Henson Steve is 56 and attended the University of Life and gained a decree Nisi. He enjoys a staple diet of humour, is conscientious and has a good circle of friends to call on for advice and guidance. He has worked overseas before and respects that his actions when he is away is a reflection on his employers.
• Sam Simmons Sam believes in making her own luck and seizing every opportunity life brings. She has had a variety of creative jobs working in advertising, animation and television. She now lives with her friends in London working on the other side of the camera modelling, doing voiceovers and presenting.
• Roxy Stuart Roxy describes herself as resilient, chatty, loveable, inquisitive, deep, courageous, ambitious, critical, and dependable. If she was an animal she would be a dolphin, for two reasons; they get to experience the world from a totally different perspective and they are the only mammals who mate for pleasure! Her best experience was falling in love at first sight....yes it does happen.
• Sarah Clapham Sarah is 29 years old, shortly to be celebrating turning 30 this summer. She was born and bred in Gtr Manchester. The furthest she had been on holiday as a child was to Cornwall where she got as far as Land's End but when she was 18 she decided to take her first trip overseas to Corfu. Sarah feels more at home when overseas than she does in her own home town!
• Lauren Stott Lauren describes herself as a happy-go-lucky kind of girl, the wrong side of 25, torn between settling down and finding a ‘proper’ job or following her travel dreams and jumping on the next plane. She is a born explorer, who once, with childhood naivety and optimism, tried to dig to Australia in the garden.
